Enhance your DR workflow with a wireless portable X-ray detector to allow easy, comfortable positioning especially for difficult anatomical views

There are two detector options to choose from: our classic SkyPlate design and SkyPlate E.

SkyPlate detectors are lightweight and designed for high-resolution imaging - the royalty of the family and come in two sizes:

Large: 35 cm x 43 cm (approx. 14" x 17")

Small: 24 cm x 30 cm (approx. 10" x 12")

SkyPlate E* is a slightly heavier and more rugged detector, for high-volume environments - the workhorse of the family. It comes in one size:

Large: 35 cm x 43 cm (approx. 14" x 17")

Considerations for SkyPlate selection

Both SkyPlate and SkyPlate E detectors are based on amorphous silicon with cesium iodide technology, delivering superb image quality at a low X-ray dose with high Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE) and excellent Modulation Transfer Function (MTF).
They accommodate 300 kg (661 lbs ) of distributed weight and 100 kg (220 lbs) of punctual weight.
Both can employ SkyFlow Plus, Philips digital scatter correction technology for gridless exams with grid-like contrast.

*SkyPlate E is not available in North America.

Easy positioning

These lightweight detectors have premium ergonomic characteristics making them easy to work with for the technician. The slim design allows for easy, comfortable positioning, especially for difficult anatomical views and promotes high patient throughput.

High quality imaging

Both SkyPlate detectors feature superb image quality at a low X-ray dose with high DQE and excellent MTF. And with UNIQUE 2 – our state-of-the-art image processing algorithm – you’ll achieve high-resolution and harmonized image quality.

Flexible performance

SkyPlate detectors come in two sizes for flexible performance and have an appealing appearance. The large SkyPlate is perfect for free exams, in tables, and vertical stands, whereas the smaller SkyPlate is tailor-made for common incubators as well as adult shoulder, skull, and extremity views.

Smooth gridless workflow

While you must always decide whether to use a grid, now you can combine the ease of a gridless acquisition workflow with the contrast of a grid image. Our intelligent SkyFlow Plus digital scatter correction technology produces grid-like images without a grid by reducing the effect of scatter radiation. SkyFlow Plus is suitable for all examinations in free exposure.

Share it between systems

For flexibility and cost effectiveness, you can easily share the SkyPlates between our latest DR system releases. There are plenty of sharing options available to enhance detector, system, and room utilization. The smaller-size is particularly useful for sharing due to its specialized application range.

Rugged durability

The scratch resistant housing of the SkyPlate E makes it an excellent choice for use with MobileDiagnost or in the busy environment of an emergency department. SkyPlate E is also outfitted with a mechanical drop sensor to indicate when the detector has undergone a significant shock.

High quality imaging

The SkyPlate E detector features superb image quality at a low X-ray dose with high DQE and excellent MTF. And with UNIQUE 2 – our state-of-the-art image processing algorithm – you’ll achieve high-resolution and harmonized image quality.

Smooth gridless workflow

While you must always decide whether to use a grid, now you can combine the ease of a gridless acquisition workflow with the contrast of a grid image. Our intelligent SkyFlow Plus digital scatter correction technology produces grid-like images without a grid by reducing the effect of scatter radiation. SkyFlow Plus is available for all examinations in free exposures above 60 KV.

Suitable weight capability

The SkyPlate E detector accommodates 300 kg (661 lbs) of distributed weight and 100 kg (220 lbs) of punctual weight. If needed, a protector slides over the detector to support up to 225 kg (496 lbs) for standing feet views.

Share it between systems

For flexibility and cost effectiveness, you can easily share the SkyPlate E between our MobileDiagnost wDR and the DigitalDiagnost premium systems.
